Summer School in Statistical Downscaling

Department of Meteorology and Climatology University of Lodz is inviting young scientists to the Summer School in Statistical Downscaling.

The school is intended to introduce to young scientists the main ideas of downscaling, some methods of statistical downscaling and testing of downscaling methods in climate simulations.

The program includes series of lectures followed by discussions and hands-on computer labs involving international and Polish lecturers.

The summer workshop will be held on University of Lodz. It will be held from Monday, June 18 to Friday, June 22, 2007 with an opening reception on Sunday evening, June 17.

The total cost of the summer school is 300 Euro. The fee covers accommodation, meals and all activities during the school. Financial assistance for fee may be available upon request for successful applicants. An early registration fee of 250Euro will be charged.
